Neck or Back pain
Neck or back pain can be very debilitating. Patients who experience these symptoms often have trouble concentrating on everyday tasks and are unable to get the work done that is required of them. With neck pain, patients often have headaches or feel pain extend into their shoulder, arm, and even upper back, ranging from a dull ache to a sharp pain, impairing normal mobility.
Research shows approximately 30% of the US population experiences some form of neck pain every year! Any number of factors can cause neck pain, from poor posture or ergonomics, or trauma from playing sports, lifting heavy objects, a fall, or a motor vehicle accident. Neck pain can make tasks such as dressing, driving, or working nearly impossible to complete.
Back pain can be equally as debilitating, with 25% of people experiencing pain at any given time and up to 80% of people having back pain at some point during their lifetime! Back pain can be centralized at your spine, radiate to your side(s), or even cause leg pain/numbness and tingling. Common treatable back conditions include lumbar radiculopathy, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, herniated disc(s), and spinal stenosis.
